Two things you need to do for a great week

December 7, 2020

Today, we're gonna look at two things we all need to set ourselves up for a great week.

I recently ran the course Launch your Passion Project, a great opportunity sponsored by TAFE, where we talked about how success (in anything) is built.

Simple and Smart. If you can take these sorts of actions consistently then you're going to be great.

Many people think that success is going to come as this great big flood, but it doesn't happen like that. Success is built over a lifetime, consistently taking small, achievable steps. Here in the Blueprint, we've got all sorts of coaching programs to help you at each of the different levels towards that success.

And this episode is a great place to get started.

With a new year looming just around the corner, NOW is the time to start implementing some positive lifestyle habits. This is totally doable.

Ready to set yourself up for an awesome new year?

Let's get into it...

To help in this process we have developed a great tool for you - the Lifestyle Design Quiz.

It's free, and in less than five minutes, you will have a personalised report that outlining your strength profile, your focus for growth and some key coaching questions that help you to get much clearer on what matters most to you. This is your BEST move right now to set yourself up for success in 2021 and beyond.

Here's the highlights:

  • [03:11] EXERCISE: Looking after your body. Not only physically but also all of the things that you put into your body. It is so important because our body is our tool for living. And so we have to take care of it.

  • [04:58] Thinking that exercise is just for the image came from the Greek western world view that looks at two separate physical and spiritual realms. The Eastern world view sees this the other way: physical and spiritual realms blend.

  • [06:04] What you do in your body affects your mind and who you are. And so, the exercise that we do directly affects who we are as a person.

  • [06:57] Embed exercise into your week: make a calendar and make sure it's one of the fundamental things you do each week. Jot in one hour of one day some physical exercise.

  • [09:28] SET ASIDE A TIME FOR YOURSELF: make a time in your week to dig deep, reflect on who we are as a person, and make sure that the life we're living is aligning with that. Do this at least once a week.

  • [12:06] TIPS: Think about yourself at 80 years old, how you want to be remembered. Get a pen and a journal. Writing is like reflecting back on yourself. It helps to slow your mind down and helps your conscious mind to check in with the unconscious mind.

  • [13:04] The Lifestyle Design Quiz is a great tool to help start that reflection process.

  • [14:48] Scaling your impact through education: Personal development, health and fitness should be at the base of everything done in schools, then build creativity and design skills and stack other areas of knowledge from there.

  • [16:16] In developing coaching programs: Ask 'where's the fun?'; 'have I included some form of activity?'; 'have you included deep personal reflection?'
