This week I was inspired by a talk I heard recently from Kelly George (who we've interviewed before) talking about building habits.
I know HABITS seem to be boring, less exciting than GOALS.
When we hit our goals, we celebrate. But with habits, they're invisible, often we don’t even notice that we're doing them.
But in all the areas I work - coaching and education, for young people or for adults, developing positive habits is a key part of the process in redesigning our lives.
So I thought I'd share with you one of the tools I use with ALL of my clients.

Here's the highlights:
[1:10] Habits vs Goals. Developing positive habits is so important. Goals are easy to sell because these are things that we want. While habits seem to be less attractive because it’s repetitious and there are no accolades because habits that work are actually invisible.
[2:48] Phases of Lifestyle Design: Finding CLARITY. Knowing your CORE PURPOSE. Getting IDEAS AND INSPIRATION. Developing a STRATEGY. Creating HABITS-- creating a new normal, new way of being.
[5:10] The GVFD Framework: Train your RAS to take notice of the positive things in your life. Developing a vision by defining success. Identifying your BIG THINGS-- your top goals, priorities, and things that must get done. And at the end of the day, debrief by celebrating and looking into what changes can you make to get things done the next day.
